Nishant Shekar is a versatile vocalist and composer who gained recognition in Mumbai after winning IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo. Raised in Muscat, Oman, Nishant’s musical journey began with his triumph at Muscat Idol 2014. His expertise spans Indian classical, jazz, blues, pop, RnB, and world styles, performing across India and the U.S.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Nishant majored in Contemporary Writing and Production, excelling in scoring, arranging, and vocal production. He has worked with renowned artists like Salim Suleman and Tigran Hamasyan, sung for Usher and Sona Jobarteh, and performed at prestigious venues including MGM Music Hall Boston and Agganis Arena. His notable projects include the album Police Beyond Borders with Stewart Copeland and Ricky Kej, Blind So What? with Ciara Moser, and For India with Joao Bittencourt. Nishant also contributed background vocals to the Bollywood song Tu Hai Kahaan. His passion for music drives his continuous pursuit of artistic growth.
