CARLO GIZZI - Musician, Composer, Arranger and Producer

Musical collaboration on production of  William Blake's Divine Humanity - New Player's Theatre, London 2007

Beginning his studies in 1989 under the guidance of the teachers Fernanda Pompili and Maurizio Angelozzi he then graduated from the Conservatory “L.Refice” in Frosinone in 2003, under the guidance of Antonio Saracino. In 2007 he obtained with excellent grades a diploma of the II° level in modern piano music from the same conservatory under the guidance of the teacher Carlo Negroni, presenting as a thesis the piano reworking of the album "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. In this same year he was admitted to the conservatory for the composition course with the teacher Luca Salvadori.

In this same year he was admitted to the conservatory for the composition course with the teacher Luca Salvadori.In 2004 he graduated after attending the masterclass in composition and arrangement held by the internationally renowned guitarist Maurizio Colonna and in 2007 he attended the seminar held by the jazz guitarist Amit Chatterjee. 

His concerts range from classical music to jazz to pop: he has played numerous concerts as a soloist and chambre ensemble, and has participated in several National competitions. He played the keyboards in the 2003 summer tour of the singerTony Santagata; and collaborated with the violinistStefania Urli offering a repertoire of classical, jazz and film music. Among the most important concerts in this formation will be remembered those held at the Auditorium "P. Angeletti" in Pomezia and at the Castello Savelli di Palombara S. in the concert season"Aria di Primavera". From 2005 he played in the Caumma Trio Jazz together with Massimiliano Ottaviani and Umberto Belli offering jazz and original songs, performing in several important events in Lazio including the season"Concerti in Famiglia" at the Muse Theatre in Roma and at the "Magic Christmas in Palombara S." in collaboration with the association Narada. As a soloist he participated in the “Music Together” in 1998, 2003 and 2007. From 2006 he played in the orchestra of the comedian Michele Balzano performing at various events in southern Italy. In March 2006 he performed in the show of poetry “Reflections of sound poetic images” of the Polenta sisters at the“Casa del Jazz” (House of Jazz) in Rome.

From 2007 to 2011 he played regularly as a soloist in the concert season of "I concerti del Tempietto" (Concerts of the Temple) at the Theatre Marcello and Villa Torlonia in Rome. In the same year he performed regularly as part of the Stagione Concertistica Narada and Festival dello Spirito in Albera Ligure in 2011 with the violinist Karol Stettner. He collaborated with other artists in 2007 for the music of the show of the "William Blake's Divine Humanity" from the theatre company "T.E.V. Theatre of Eternal Values" founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and represented at the New Players Theatre in London. In 2008 he released a CD with the labelTERRE SOMMERSE where he improvised on themes by Bach, Mozart and Pink Floyd and he performed at the Baldini Room in Rome for the concert season “TERRECLASSICHE”. He also participated as a guest on the radio program "Taccuino Italiano" (Italian Notebook) on RAI International radio. 

From 2008 to 2010 he was the Director of the Youth Orchestra of the city council of Rome III e and from 2010 the Director of the Youth Orchestra Narada with which he won Third prize at the XIX Concorso Nazionale Giovani Musicisti. National Young Musicians Competition. From 2008 he is a teacher and Director of the Marching Band "Città di Palombara Sabina". He was on the jury of the XVIII Concorso Nazionale Giovani Musicisti (National Young Musicians Competition in may 2010).He worked as a composer and arranger of music for documentaries and advertising.

He teaches introductory music at the company “GoGliGo” s.r.l.,  and modern classical piano at the music school in Rome and at the Arca85 in Rome and at the Ass. Cult. Momenti Musicali in Montelibretti; he has worked at the VD Music of Rome as a piano teacher, and at the “Scuola Attiva”(Active School), “Forma e crea” s.r.l.(Form and Creates Ltd), “Un isola Felice”( A Happy Island), and Oxford pre-school of Pola s.r.l. as a teacher of music. He hasdone supply musical education teaching at institutions including state schools and currently works in kindergartens and nursery state projects with introductory music. He is the Director and teacher of the music school “Narada” in Palombara Sabina and co-artistic director of the Concert Season Narada now in its fourth edition since 2006.
